We were recently visited at WPT by 97 year old Dorothy (Dot) Medhurst. She visited with her granddaughter Anja, to share with us some of her early memories of Brighton seafront. Dot lived in Brighton from 1921 – 1940 after which she moved to Rodmell. It was fascinating to hear her recollections of Brighton in the 1930s. We’re building a Library of Memories, so if you or anyone you know, has any memories of the West Pier to share, please do get in touch. We are working hard at uncovering the stories of the West Pier and aim to share our library of memories with the local community, researchers, and people interested in our history.
