Last week we posted some beautiful photos of the pier by Justin Hill. He has a profound love of the pier which is reflected in the elegant, atmospheric images he creates. Here is a charming picture from the early 1970’s (before the pier closed in 1975) of him with his mum and a telescope. We love receiving personal photos featuring the pier – please keep sending them. This one has clearly caught the famous seating and one of the octagonal kiosks in the background. It is one of these original buildings that the Trust plans to restore as a heritage centre – to be sited east of the i360.
