At the Council Cabinet meeting on 10th May the proposal was approved that negotiations should be opened for the Council to loan the funding gap for i360. This is very good news and could mean that i360 construction will start in the autumn. Much detailed work will happen over the next few weeks and a final decision will be taken at Policy & Resources Committee on 12th July. Unfortunately the Argus somewhat mis reported this news, suggesting that the go ahead was given on 10th May. This isn’t the case but we very much hope the green light will finally be given on 12th July!
