International best-selling local crime writer Peter James is a long-term supporter of the Trust and has generously offered to give a talk at a fundraising social event at Alfrescos Restaurant on 23rd June. Peter sets his novels in and around Brighton and an atmospheric photo of the pier often features on the front cover of his books. He will give a reading from his latest novel, “Dead Like You” and talk about his research behind the scenes with Sussex Police and the darker side of his beloved city. Tickets will cost £15 for members and £20 for non-members. The price will include generous canapés and a glass of wine – an informal meal. This will be a great opportunity to meet Peter in a convivial setting with wonderful views of the pier.
