Andy Durr, West Pier Trust Board member, died on Sunday after a long illness.
Andy was a Board member for many years. He worked tirelessly to support the Trust and also developed our strong links with the Brighton Fishing Museum which he was instrumental in creating.
He was a Councillor for many years and it was largely due to his foresight and determination that the former Brighton Borough Council took the brave and far sighted decision to invest heavily in the revival of the seafront.
Andy was a great character and he will be sadly missed by the many who knew and respected him.
