We’re busy drawing up a bid for Heritage Lottery Funds to use toward the restoration of one of the six original octagonal kiosks that graced the Pier at it’s opening in 1866. This key element of the pier which showcases the standards of exquisite design and craftsmanship, the kiosk will be used as a heritage centre, open to the public and dedicated to learning about the history of the pier. The centre will include lots of interpretation and a virtual tour of the pier and form part of the new, landscaping scheme either side of the i360 attraction.
